I lost my good old Victorinox Rambler knife (damn you, Staples center security) so I was looking for a replacement. The toothpick in Rambler is really useless to me (I prefer disposable ones) so I picked this knife. All the blades work fine, except for the pen that didn’t work at all from day one.

Other thoughts: I think a knife with a light instead of the pen would be useful too. I know that there is Midnight manager with a pen and a light, but I like the tweezers.

I have one of these on my keyring and I use it all the time. I find the scissors and the pen are the most useful functions. The tweezers have come in handy for removing splinters on the go a few times. It’s really annoying to have splinters in your hand. I keep using it at work or on the go to open letters and packages or other things. The bottle opener isn’t as useful as it once was, since most bottles use twist tops now. The pen comes in handy over and over. It’s pressurized so it works upside down. I use it mostly to sign checks or card receipts. I actually wish that Victorinox made a version without a knife blade so I could take it with me on planes and through other types of security check points. The screwdriver on the fingernail file could be a little smaller to work with my glasses, but it doesn’t quite fit. I’ve used the mini philips screwdriver on electronics a couple of times, but if that’s not useful to you, maybe the signature swiss army knives would be better for you. The midnight manager or signature lites have a led light instead of the tweezers, but I like the tweezers and carry an extra bright Fenix AAA light on my keyring, so I like this model better. I never leave home with out it.

Rating a victorinox swiss army knife, I must day, it is, as all of their products, error-free, and very handy to carry it everywhere I go. I prefer this size over the big one for keeping it with me whereever I go. Highly recommended.

Great product from Victorinox. I swear by this knife. i’ve had over 10 of these and the rambler combined and gave them as gifts too. I lost them here and there. But this knife is one of the most versatile swiss army knives. Has all the features needed. scissors, knift, bottle opener, file and flat screwdriver. I literally am LOST without this.

This knife combines the best combination of size and tools. It is the small version which fits conveniently on a keychain.

It includes a bottom opener which is very rare for this size knife.

The scissors and knife open on the side opposite of the keychain ring, which is very intuitive. Many of these knives have the scissors or blade open on the same side as the keyring, which is very awkward if you have this knife attached to a keychain.

The order I use the tools are: scissors, bottle opener, blade, flat head screwdriver, phillips head screwdriver, tweezers, and pen.

Everyone should have one of these on their keys.
