This is my second one. Good product, good quality. Has most of the tools you need for travel without carrying a tool box.

Excellent workmanship. Knife has about every practical use you can think of. I highly recommend
Victronix Swiss Army knives.

It’s a useful knife, of course. The only reason I am writing this review is to warn people that it does not have a “safety locking” blade, as advertised. The product description states: “Two blades (one safety locking).” The large blade snaps open sharply and it is difficult to accidentally close, but this is no different than other SAKs I’ve owned. I expected that closing the large blade would require pressing a button or some similar operation independent of moving the blade itself. There are other SAKs, such as the Nomad, which have a genuinely locking blade.

This is a good everyday pocket knife. It has enough gadgets to get you out of any pinch, but it is not too heavy or bulky. And Victorinox is the brand of Swiss army knives they sell in Switzerland, so it is the brand I trust.

I bought this because I received a gift card for Christmas 2006 from my then Fiancee’s mother. I thought it would be a more appropriate ‘gift’ than a computer game. I did not expect it to be as handy as it has been. I’ve used it very frequently since buying it. I’ve carried it around nearly every day since buying it, and most days I use it. The days I’ve forgotten it I notice it is missing.
I bought this particular version because I liked the tools it had. The size is also about right. You can get other knives (not just Victorinox) that have many more tools, but they are really large and not convenient. I’ve also seen some that are exclusively knives, and so are fairly thin (and some that are more like a hunting knife) but to buy just a knife seems pointless. I’d say I use the one of the knives (this particular model has a small and large blade if you don’t know) more than any other individual tool, but I’d say between the two, they account for about half of what I use the knife for.
